Overall, very impressed with the product – easy to use and great sound.
For any bass player out there looking to dip their toes into the “Wireless pond”, these 2 units are pretty cool.
Works for Active and Passive basses and you can also unscrew the Jack Connector on the Rx or Tx units to convert it from a 1/4″ Jack to a 3.5mm Mini Jack.
I have 3 downsides though.
They are luckily not deal breakers but something you need to keep in mind before buying.
1) There is no volume adjustment between the Tx and Rx units. When I first used them, the sound quality was good but a bit softer than with a cable.
2) I assume that either the “Signal-to-Noise” ratio and/or the Frequency Response is kicking in if you are tying to play on a very low volume. The units (well maybe its just mine) keeps on cutting out until I lift my volume a bit then it seems to work flawlessly. (Tx and Rx is between me and my foot pedal, Pedal to DI and DI to Desk is all cable)
3) If you like to be in control over the Frequency then you may want to reconsider your purchase. There is no way at this stage to manually change it.
If you like a “plug and play” Wireless system and are not bothered by tinkering with the tech, then I would highly recommend these 🙂
